The event will feature three industry experts sharing their insights into the issue of capacity and how this affects decision making in family law.
Terry Laidler, Psychologist
Terry is a psychologist with nearly 20 years’ experience in forensic reporting. He will comment on the differences between psychological and legal notions of capacity, and the way these can be reconciled.
Sue Macgregor, Principal of Macgregor Barristers & Solicitors, Accredited Family Law Specialist
Sue is an experienced Family Lawyer and Independent Children’s Lawyer who will share her experience and insights in dealing with capacity issues relating to her client base in the St Kilda region, including drug dependency and alcohol abuse.
Susan Hamilton-Green, Accredited Family Law Specialist, FDRP & Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law
Susan will draw on her extensive experience as a Family Law Specialist and FDRP to discuss legal capacity including assessment, powers of attorney, litigation guardians and strategies for FDR.
